Adele has released a previously unheard live version of her 2007 hit single 'Hometown Glory' as a free download.

The 'Someone Like You' singer has teamed up with The Big Issue magazine to offer readers the free track, taken from her new live DVD Live At The Royal Albert Hall.

"Written when she was just 16, and originally released in 2007 on Jamie T's Pacemaker Records label, the song is an evocative tribute to Adele's hometown, London."

Adele was forced to undergo laser microsurgery in the US last month to repair damage to her vocal chords, and was forced to cancel the remainder of her tour as a result.

Despite reports she would still perform on The X Factor live final , a spokesperson for the singer has confirmed she will not be performing for the remainder of 2011.

Adele's Live At The Royal Albert Hall includes her full 90-minute concert, behind the scenes footage from the event and a live CD of the performance and was released on Monday (28th November).
